Bismillah...where did May go? Wow, can you believe that my little Rainbow is becoming a big Rainbow? I have a 7 month old boy who is just making every single day a new adventure, mashaAllah.
How was our week? Iman is graduating from the 8th grade in less than one month, so I went searching for a nice little graduation outfit for Rainbow that would match Iman's dress. It was actually easier than I expected.
On the language front, we didn't do much last week again (no particular reason). I was very tired, and found it hard to think in French. Hubby also agreed that I would focus on Arabic even more than I am now, so that shifted my focus just a bit.
Islamically speaking, I think sometimes, it seems there is not enough focus on our Islamic life on Rainbow's blog, but that's because Islam is our whole life, it is in every single thing that we do (if you know what I mean). As Rainbow gets a bit older it will be easier to truly display all the ways that we are teaching him about our religion, but for now, we try to focus on living Islamically, therefore passing it on to him.
Hmm, on that note, I have to say there is something that I have been focusing on, and it is the type of things and people that I surround myself with. Part of raising a Muslim child is setting a good example, so I try not to display characteristics that are questionable, like gossiping, and swearing and having a bad disposition. I think these are things that Rainbow will pick up fast, so I have to be careful.

What are my plans for the week?
- Rainbow is 7 months now, so we will begin potty training him.
- I also mentioned that I have made a commitment to spending more time offline (not blogging), because ultimately spending more time with the kids trump everything else.
- Fasting: well, Rainbow is not fasting, I am, and it has slightly affected our schedule. On the days when I am fasting, I don't really go outside for long hours, because I get a bit tired. I am sure as the weeks go by, we will find a way around that.

Potty training at 7 months! Oh wow!
Rainbow is so adorable!
My little guy turns 7 months on the 10th!

Shar, hello...we usually start when they begin to sit up and move around a bit. My girls caught on fast, but boys are another story (so I've been told).
It takes so much time...just crossing my fingers.
Rainbow and your little one are so close in age...I like popping over and seeing what you are both up to.
Hello Heavenly, thanks for stopping by.
Have a great week.
Happy Birthday Rainbow. Can I say that? Every day is a new celebration, isn't it? Love your thoughts. Thanks for sharing. A very pragmatic Swiss Girl who like to explore new worlds. Yours is definately one I'd like to discvoer more about.
Expat...I think every month is a new b-day. He could care less of course, but I'm counting, lol.
