 Bismillah...

Hello everyone. I hope you're all doing well inshaAllah.
Life has been crazy for me lately, and I have taken solace in my personal blog. Now, it's not all negative, it's just different, and not things that fit into this space.
It's almost Hussein's birthday. It hasn't been easy in the past few weeks, and honestly while I know the source of my unspoken sadness, it actually doesn't make sense to me right now, because I have not even been reflecting on it.

There was however a conversation on the train last week with baba, where I burst into tears. I hate to think about it now.

In a moment of deep reflection, I scribbled my thoughts in a post (other blog) and went over to Angie's blog {still life with circles}only to find that she is doing the right where i am project 2012 right now. Talk about timing.

So where am I?

right where i am - not at my greatest, but hoping it will get better, inshaAllah
it's been- 2 years, 11 months since Hussein went to heaven

Thank you Angie...perfect timing...

    Dear Salma,
May Allaah remove all the bad things from your life, and may Allaah give you happiness so big that you will have to share it with your every close person...
Salma, we just came back from my husbands hometown after staying there for almost a month. As soon as we came back to our home I hugged my children. I missed them badly, I missed being with them, sharing my love, my attention, my words, my breath with them. We were all togather all the time, but there was no time for all these things. The lifestyle is totally different, theere is no time for such things in village. I realised that I say very little alhamdulillah to my Lord. I could be in the place of those village women who don't even notice how their children grow up. and this is not because they don't wnat to, it is because their life is different. Alhamdulillah, Allaah gives us chance and opprtunity to live the life we live. Many of us can sit for hours just watching our child sleep, watch their closed eyes with long eyelashes, admire that red headband on little head with curly hairs, read our kid's favorite book for several times at night or in the morning or at lunch...
Salma, May you see only happiness in your life...

    with love,
    Umm AbdulAziz
